CLASSICAL GUITAR

The FRAME Works CLASSICAL GUITAR opens a whole new world to the performing classical guitarist. Players need not longer worry about improper microphone setups or ”crosstalk” from other instruments. The FRAME’s neutral and transparent tone can cut through ambient noise and be heard in the most complex and difficult musical situations, from chamber music to orchestral works, in ensemble with louder instruments and even in rock and jazz settings.

The FRAME Guitar’s design allows common classical playing techniques. All relevant features such as scale-length, neck-width, string-spacing and ”body” shape are kept to the familiar dimensions.

Frames meet the neck at the 12th/16th fret, allowing easy access to the higher frets. The action is preset to a proper classical string height and individually adjustable.

The optional built-in MIDI interface provides excellent synth tracking and dynamic response - a true challenge for inspiration and creativity.

MODERN CLASSIC

The MODERN CLASSIC is dedicated to contemporary jazz-, pop- & rock-players. It combines outstanding nylon-string sound with a playability that suits best to the requirements of modern musical styles.

The action comes set slightly lower and can be adjusted. The different ”body” shape, with the frame-to-neck connection at the 14th/18th fret, allows even greater access to the higher frets.

7-STRING CLASSICAL GUITAR

The 7-STRING CLASSICAL GUITAR is particular popular in traditional Brazilian music, especially in the ”Choro” style.

The addition of a seventh string - usually tuned to low B - adds an extra-low bass register to the FRAME’s already versatile sound spectrum, providing quite interesting opportunities for solo playing as well as for ensemble work.

PLEASE NOTE: Even the 7-STRING CLASSICAL GUITAR can be ordered with optional MIDI access - with one small limitation: since all current ”Guitar-to-MIDI” converters have been developed for six-string applications, the low E and bottom/seventh string need to share one single MIDI channel. This means that both strings cannot sound simultaneously when used in a MIDI context! However, one string after the other - like walking bass lines , for example - means no problem! Thanks to a special ”7th-string mute switch”, it's moreover also possible to simply turn on/off the 7th-string if desired.
